Concept builds

Good looks. Built for real leads.

Five concept websites for fictional businesses. Each one shows how we would give a real website one clear job. They are design concepts, not client projects.

Next-step check

Three questions about your site.

Answer from what you know. Nothing leaves this page and there is no score, just what we would look at first.

01Can a new visitor tell what you do, and where, within a few seconds of landing on your home page?

If yes: Good. Keep that line at the top of every page, not only the home page.

If not, or not sure: Lead with the job and the place. One plain sentence at the top, in the words customers search with (“Deck builder in Dearborn”), does more than a slogan.

02Is there one obvious next step on every page: call, book, or ask for a quote?

If yes: Good. Check it on a phone: the button should be within reach of a thumb without scrolling back up.

If not, or not sure: Pick the one action that matters most and repeat it: at the top, after each section, and fixed to the bottom of the screen on phones.

03When someone reaches out, do you get what you need to reply properly?

If yes: Good. Make sure the form also says what happens next, and when they will hear back.

If not, or not sure: Ask for the two or three details you always need (photos, the vehicle, a preferred day) in the form itself, so your first reply can be useful.
